Arsenal sign their ‘largest ever sponsorship deal’ with Emirates

Stadium at Ashburton Grove will be known as the Emirates Stadium until 2028 at least

ARSENAL have reached a new deal with Emirates over shirt and stadium sponsorship.

The Dubai-based airline extended its naming rights for the club’s stadium at Ashburton Grove until 2028, while the team’s kit will bear the company’s name until at least 2024. Although the money involved is thought to be around £200 million and Arsenal said it was the “largest sponsorship deal ever signed by the club”.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis said: “Our shirt partnership is the longest running in the Premier League and one of the longest relationships in world sport. This mutual commitment is testimony to the strength and depth of our unique relationship.”

Emirates president Sir Tim Clark said: “Our partnership with Arsenal Football Club is a great combination of two truly global brands and we’re very pleased to have extended this relationship for five more years – connecting fans from around the world with one of the greatest teams in the world.”

Emirates first began its shirt sponsorship ahead of the 2006/2007 season.
