CHILDREN’S author and BBC presenter Lucy Worsley left children “spellbound” with a reading of her fictionalised account of young Queen Victoria.

Ms Worsley worked with children at Emmanuel C of E, Beckford, South Hampstead, St Anthony’s, Francis Holland, The Village School and Rainbow Montessori primary schools to create a living family tree of the former monarch. Danny van Emden, at West End Lane Books, who helped organise the event on Tuesday afternoon in Emmanuel Church, West Hampstead, said Ms Worsley had “really brought the history alive”.

Lucy Worsley’s My Name is Victoria is published by Bloomsbury Children’s books.
