Dr Faulkner had an ‘alternative’

05 July, 2018

• I WAS surprised reading the article about Dr Hugh Faulkner that no mention was made of his interest in alternative medicine, (The practice which opened on the NHS’s first day, June 28).

When he was 74 he was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas, turned to a macrobiotic diet after a prognosis of three months’ life expectancy, and lived on to 81. He wrote a book about it called Against All Odds.
