Kilburn Ironworks announces popular bar and grill is to close

Bar has been favourite for fans of burgers and craft beer since moving into the old Powers bar

15 January, 2018 — By Geoffrey Sawyer

A HIGHLY-REGARDED bar and grill on the Kilburn High Road has today (Monday) announced it is to close next month.

The Kilburn Ironworks proved a hit with its burger, craft beer and cocktail offerings after opening in the former Powers bar near Brondesbury railway station three years ago.

In messages shared by its social media accounts, customers were told that the final day would be February 5.

“We would like to thank everyone for your support and custom over the years, and we hope we’ll be remembered fondly,” the management said.

It marks the latest change for the north end of the High Road, following the closure of The Good Ship music and comedy venue and a bid to redevelop the Brondes Age bar site close to the railway lines.
