DETECTIVES investigating an attempted robbery at West Hampstead station have released CCTV stills, as they try to identify a couple they want to bring in for questioning.

The images of the man and woman that police want to speak to were circulated this afternoon (Friday) as part of a police appeal.

It follows an incident shortly after midnight on May 11 which saw a 28-year-old man verbally abused on a Jubilee line service and then followed after he got off the train. A male suspect pulled out a knife and demanded he handed over his belongings. The victim ran away in fear of his life, police said.

If you know who they are, British Transport Police advised people to send a text to 61016 or to call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 15 of 11/05/2018. Alternatively, ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
