Teenager charged with Kentish Town knife murders to appear in court

A TEENAGER has been charged with the murder of two young men who were stabbed to death within two hours last week.

Isaiah Popoola was last night charged with the murders of 17-year-old Abdikarim Hassan and Sadiq Aadam, 20.

The 18-year-old, from Grafton Way, was also charged with grievous bodily harm and attempted grievous boldly harm on two other victims.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Aldenham Street, Somers Town, at around 8pm on Tuesday. He survived with serious injuries.

Abdikarim was stabbed near his home on the Peckwater estate at around 8:30pm on Tuesday. He died at the junction of Bartholomew Road and Islip Street.

Mr Aadam was stabbed to death in Malden Road less than two hours later.

Popoola is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates today.

Four men, arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm on Wednesday, have been released under investigation.
