A GIANT “Trump baby” balloon, above, will fly over parliament during the president’s visit next week.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s Greater London Authority has approved an application for the flying of the six-metre inflatable.
The balloon will be tethered to the ground in Parliament Square Garden and will be flown at 30 metres. Thousands had signed a petition and more than £16,000 was raised by the public for the stunt.
A Mayor of London’s spokesman said yesterday (Thursday): “The Mayor supports the right to peaceful protest and understands that this can take many different forms.
“His city operations team have met with the organisers and have given them permission to use Parliament Square Garden as a grounding point for the blimp.”
A protest against the Trump visit has been organised for Friday July 13, ahead of a rally at 5pm in Parliament Square.
