Hannah Leonard was found dead in her flat
Murder detectives investigating the death of a woman found dead in her home on the Chalcots estate have made two arrests.
Police were called to Bray, in Fellows Road, at around 10:30am on Friday and found 55-year-old Hannah Leonard had been stabbed to death inside her flat.
A 43-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder at separate addresses in Kilburn on Sunday morning.
It is understood that her body was first spotted by contractors who were working on “mast climbers” on the outside of the building. She was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
The tower block was evacuated in June along with four others after it was discovered that they were wrapped in flammable cladding and had a number of internal safety defects. Teams of construction workers have been at the estate for the past seven months working to correct the failings.
Police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem to confirm the cause of death.
Residents said that the ground-floor and lifts in the 23-storey tower are covered by CCTV.
